Volkswagen has redeemed itself in a huge way with the updated Polo GTI, taking the under-equipped 2015 version and adding a rear camera and adjustable sports suspension for the 2016 model year.

Both these additions make the MY16 Polo GTI a far more convincing package. Combined with the manual gearbox option re-introduced with for 2015, this is the car the Polo GTI should have been in the first place.

New car review: 2015 Ford Everest

Ford has climbed aboard the bandwagon of all-terrain wagons with the launch last week of the all-new Everest seven-seat SUV range, set to go on sale in Australia on October 1.

The Everest competes with the other twin-cab utes-with-a-roof, such as the Holden Colorado 7, the Isuzu MU-X, Toyota’s Hilux-based Fortuna and the recently revealed new Mitsubishi Challenger.

Ford has positioned the stylish Everest as a premium model, and equipped the Australian version with serious off road capability via an advanced four-mode “Terrain Management System”. It’s also being touted as a competitor to the Toyota Prado.
