Holden have brought back the Sandman, albeit toned down from the original. From June, Holden began offering a small number of special edition Sandman Commodore utes and station wagons.

Unfortunately, the station wagon is the closest we’ll get to the classic panel van of the 1970s, but the ute is a little more in keeping with its original counterpart.

The modern Sandman is based on the Commodore SV6 and SS-V. Sandman additions include a modern take on the original Sandman livery and, for the wagon, there’s an orange shagpile floor rug available as an accessory.
